White sands & Dallas
July 10th- We drove from Denver to Las Cruces, New Mexico today- one of many 10 hour drives heading east. We intended to sled down the white sand dunes today but the air bnb we stayed at was an hour away and we were just ready to get out of the car.

July 11th- we did make it to white sands today! We ended up renting a sled and going on the 16 mile loop into the dunes. We stayed for about an hour to sled and it was very fun! Then we left and drove another 11 hours to Dallas. We arrived very late to Dallas but we hit 11,000 miles today!
July 12th- We had great tour guides who we were staying with in Dallas and they took us to see where JFK was shot downtown. They have the road marked with X's. We spent 3 hours in the 6th floor museum and that is all just crazy and super interesting. It doesn't seem like they know what happened really, crazy stuff. That night we went to the Alamo drafthouse theater and watched Baby Driver, 8/10 would recommend. We're sadly approaching the end of our 7 week trip and only have one more stop in Nashville.
June 13th- Nashville is actually a pretty cool city! We drove down Broadway to see all of the neon and hear the live country music. We ate ribs at a local place called Peg Leg Porker.
June 14th- We drove home through the Great Smokey Mountains and past Asheville, so we ended our trip scenically at least! Sad to have it end, such a surreal trip! 12,172 miles and 7 of the best weeks of my life! We are so lucky to have gotten the opportunity to see America and I can't wait to go back to most of these places.
