Norway!
June 23rd- I arrived around 10pm and we got pizza on the way home to my aunt and uncles apartment! The sun doesn’t set until around 11pm here which is wild, but I really like it. The weather here is also much nicer than it was in Prague-much cooler.
June 24th- Today we woke up a little later and went around to see some iconic spots in Oslo. We went to the Viking ship museum and saw the three Viking ships that they had discovered and preserved. They were actually ships used for burial, I had no idea they did this so that was cool to learn about. Then we went to this park called Vigeland with art all by one artist that is supposed to be commentary on young and old and men and women so it’s all a bit interesting but very very cool. The park was really pretty and had a nice view from the top and I liked all the statues, I thought it was unique.
We then went to tour the Royal Palace, this was cool because we got to learn about the history of Norway since they gained their independence in 1905 and the current functioning of the government. Then we went down to the water in an area called AkerBrygge, this was very pretty- restaurants all right on the water. We ate a burger place and I had a delicious salmon burger and a Norwegian beer!

June 25th- Tuesday we took a tour of a day in the life of my aunt which was cool we got to see the big hospital and the University of Oslo. We had to make it to our boat cruise at 4:30 for Copenhagen. It was a car ferry but they made it into a cruise ship type thing with a buffet dinner and a club with live music, a pool, and activities for the kids.. We had a sail away drink in the main nightclub spot and came back for the live music later. The boat had a lot of tourists and some locals headed to Denmark- and the nightclub was fun because they had a dance floor and once one lady started dancing the floor filled up- it was really entertaining!
